Karen - Codicote Pre-School Leader

Karen joined us at the beginning of 2019 and has gently but firmly steered the team to new horizons. Her knowledge around the topic of childcare, education and learning is facinating and she brings so much experience to the team and care for the children you will often find her on the floor with the kids as opposed to in the office.

Heidi

Heidi has been with the setting for a number of years and is now Deputy Leader of the setting. Her gentle nature towards the children and passion for pushing them educationally is a real strength in the team.

My interest in young people and how to stimulate them began when I visited a Romanian orphanage in 1993.  I gained a Montessori International Pre-Primary Teaching Diploma in 1996 and have worked in Early Years settings ever since.  I have 2 sons of my own and love seeing young children grow in confidence and ability.  I am enjoy being part of the team at Codicote Pre-School.

Annabel

Annabel brings great personality and flair to our team. Her singing and story telling captivate the children and can make any rainy day joyous. Annabel has helped us transform and maintain the garden with her green fingers and sunny outlook.

I am a mum of two boys and I first started working within early years when I became a lunchtime supervisor back in 2004 at my first son’s infant school when he was 5. I enjoyed working around my son and with young children and so helped out in the classroom activities and trips, I worked here for 4 years then moved on to start work in a Hitchin Pre-school in 2008 where I stayed for 9 years. It was here that I completed my Cache level 2 NVQ in children’s care in 2009, and then completed my CACHE level 3 Diploma for Children in 2015. I then moved on to work closer to my new home at Codicote Pre-school in February 2017.
